So this weekend I headed over to Paris with 5 amazing friends, Anneliese, Ellen, Hayley, Laura and Martha. It just happened to be the weekend that the French were not only celebrating Bastille Day but also playing (and obviously winning) the World Cup final. So as you can imagine it was a little busy with excited people celebrating, singing, drinking  and having fun.

We saw a Military flying display which we watched next to the glass pyramids of The Louvre. We saw horses on route to Parade on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées. We watched a fireworks display with thousands of Parisians as the fireworks exploded from the Eiffel Tower. We explored the city and lots of it’s beautiful sights, we even saw a Banksy. We got a boat ride along the river Seine in the sweltering heat. We ate delicious foods and drank tasty French wines. We bought books, macaroons and souvenirs. We did some silly stuff and laughed at each other. We walked then walked some more… we took lots of photos and climbed into the map! We saw just how many people you can fit on an underground train!!! (It’s way more than you think!) Then opted to continue walking! There were lots of highlights and we had lots of giggles along the way so we’re now planning our next girls trip… Destination TBC!

Here are some pics from our trip to Paris…
