Yesterday was my last wedding of the year and it was full of Christmas songs, lights and laughter and I am now ready to start the Christmas festivities. This year will be my first year of cooking the Christmas dinner (!!! fingers crossed I can do it justice) usually it’s Father B that does the honours and it’s always delicious. Our family tradition is to smoke the turkey, so he’s going to build a make shift smoking oven in the garden to do so.
Well I can honestly say this has been another wonderful year full of lots of wedding photography! 2017 has taken me to so so many wonderful wedding days throughout Yorkshire, the UK and to France too. I feel very lucky to have been asked to capture so many lovely couples on their special wedding days. To capture the heirloom, their moment in time to be shared for years to come. It’s a real honour.
It has been lovely looking back at the year and remembering all these moments. There are so many I couldn’t show them all but heres a little to see.
I’ve worked on several photoshoots too which has been great to get to know new wedding suppliers and see some familiar faces, there are so many talented individuals in the wedding industry and its great to get to know more of them. I absolutely love my job. I still get all watery eyed at the wedding speeches and all the emotional bits, which I’m telling myself has got to be a good thing, right?!!
Next year is going to be equally as exciting with weddings booking in thoughout the country… And of course there is the Royal Wedding to look forward to, see all the build up… I love a good wedding!
This year we have also been on some exciting adventures to Florida, Spain, France and around the UK. I’m looking forward to planning more trips for 2018. I would like to mention my family and friends for always being interested and always supporting me with my work…
Well anyway, I’m not really one for words so maybe I will just leave it there and wish everyone who’s reading this a wonderful wonderful Christmas and a very happy 2018. Big love, Jane xx
