This little snippet of images takes us to Lucy and Menelek’s Painshill Park wedding down in Surrey back in May. Lucy got ready at her mum and dad’s house in Bookham with her family, little girl and bridesmaids. It was a scorcher of a day, remember those beautifully hot days we have been so lucky to have so many of this year, well they had one of those days ~ beautiful. Lucy arrived at The Conservatory at Painshill Park and all the guests were seated, the music started to play and the flower girls scattered petals down the aisle. It was emotional watching Lucy walk towards Menelek, she was fighting back the tears, her dad holding her hand and all their guests smiling with joy. It was a really lovely ceremony. After confetti, champagne and canapés I took the newly weds off for some photos in Painshill Park. There were some many lovely spots to capture them in; old ruins, bridges, a lake, a bluebell wood… but there was a party to get back to! As guest gathered for the reception and speeches everyone took to their seats. There were some lovely heartwarming words from Lucy’s dad, the groom himself, the best man, the mother of the groom and Menelek’s son. I have to admit I had to wipe my eyes after his son’s speech especially. The party continued into the evening as people took to the dance floor. It was a really lovely wedding to photograph and I thank Lucy and Menelek for asking me to capture it for them. You can see a little peek at Painshill Park wedding day here.
