Welcome to the Thicket Priory wedding venue, over near York, North Yorkshire. This old Grade II-listed Victorian masterpiece has been restored to one of the most magnificent Yorkshire wedding venues you can imagine. It has 35 unique and gorgeously decorated en-suite bedrooms, a ballroom and it even has its own Chapel. It is a stunning building both inside and out, set in 18 acres of grounds it even has its own lake and boathouse. Perfect for wedding photos! So when Ambience Venue Styling York asked if I’d like to be involved in this incredible wedding styled photo shoot at Thicket Priory I obviously said yes! The look she was going for was pale sage green with gold,… I think she nailed it! Blossom Tree Cake made the most beautiful wedding cake for the shoot with delicate sugar craft wedding flowers and some super pretty sage green macaroons both with hints of gold. The cake completely matched the green linen napkins, wedding stationery and wedding flowers. It is fair to say it all came together really well. Similar to a wedding day you don’t see all the elements you have picked for your wedding day come together until the actual wedding day itself so it was really lovely to see everything working so well together.
Little Pearl Bridal Boutique brought along 2 wedding gowns to Thicket Priory for our “bride” to wear. Both very different from each other and both very elegant and beautiful. Natalie Willingham did the hair and makeup for the wedding styled shoot. I have worked with Natalie on lots of Yorkshire weddings in the past along with other wedding styled shoots. If only I could do my own hair like this every morning! She creates gorgeous hair and makeup. The wedding flowers looked and smelt amazing, that scent of eucalyptus is always a good one. Mint and Moose created the wedding bridal bouquet and dressed the wedding table with beautiful flowers. Baba Ganoush Dining created some delicious food dishes and various cutlery and crockery for the table. I think I will start cutting up my fruit like Baba Ganoush do from now on! Their food is really tasty, I had the pleasure of eating some at the Thicket Priory wedding suppliers evening. This wedding shoot at Thicket Priory was also filmed beautifully by Craig from Hello There Films. He is a big friendly soul, you can’t miss him!
